Technical Service Advisor

£20,000 – £25,000 Dependant on Experience

About the Technical Services Advisor role
Our Customer Care team manage queries from our customers relating to product and policy information for all our food and non-food products. We can expect around 2,300 queries every month (over a mix of phone and email) from customers requesting information relating to our product range; you will respond to queries and provide advice on any technical related information about our product range from nutrition or allergen information, packaging, weight or other product information.
Where information is not available to hand, you will work closely with our Technologists and other members of the team, along with contacting suppliers to source the correct information in order to respond in the best way, which can include formal written responses.
You will also facilitate all complaints to ensure they are logged, managed and responding to in the most concise and customer-friendly way which may involve sending formal correspondence. The role will also support data collection projects and produce reports of relevant product information to share with internal and external customers, using Support Works and Excel.
You will also be involved in our samples process, helping us communicate to our internal depots when samples are overdue.
* You will be able to work on multiple tasks at once, prioritising effectively and responding to communications in a timely manner
* You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to solve problems in a calm and professional way
* You will have a collaborative approach and be able to involve the right people at the right time
* You will have a great attention to detail and care about what you do
* You ideally have customer service and/or administration experience with a demonstrable ability to put the customer at the heart of everything you do
* You will ideally have knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages with Excel being a particular benefit
* Salary up to £25,000 dependant on experience, & pension matched up to 6% (after 12 months)

This role is UK based, located in our Head Office in Slough. After a period of induction and training, there will be an element of home working if that suits you.
