We are working with one of the largest Ambient salad producer/importer/packers in the UK industry. Our client grows and sources fresh produce across UK and Europe, marketing and distributing to major UK retailers.

Role Summary:

You will provide technical expertise and support across the business, particularly on allocated customers and products. You will ensure consistently high standards of compliance to customer standards, specifications and relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with key customer personnel to monitor performance, resolve issues and build trust. Upholding reputation and meeting customer KPIs.
  • Actively engage in the development and delivery of the customer strategy and associated customer category plans.
  • Ensure plans are robust and deliverable against technical and integrity requirements.
  • Ensure customer specifications are accurate and that they are correctly communicated and understood both internally and with suppliers where necessary.
  • Coordinate communications to provide the customer with meaningful technical input that supports the day-to-day business operation and overall customer plan.

Skills and Experience:

  • Technical background, having ideally received technical training and will understand factors which effect crop growth.
  • Knowledge of technical certification schemes such as BRC, GlobalGap and Red Tractor
  • Strong communication, organisation, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrable success of managing customer relationships
  • Experience of technical management of high profile and high value customer accounts
  • Ability to deliver innovation and newness into business in terms of processes, products and supply relationships
