About this role
The role holder is responsible for managing a small number of large, strategic customers, of high value and high risk to BT. To sell both from the desk and face to face. Aiming to build long term, strategic relationships with CXO level contacts, weaving themselves into the fabric of a customer’s strategy.
The role holder will be responsible for profitable transactional selling as well as finding, helping to develop, and adding value to high complexity opportunities. To own the development of the relationship between BTBD and the customer, in line with the BT Account Manager. The role holder will work with Technical sales on these high complexity solutions as well as working cross function with other departments to maximise on revenue and profit.
They are responsible for delivering against personal revenue and margin targets, closing own contracts and engaging with wider BT for overall customer management, as well as utilising the specialist function within BTBD to deliver customer requirements as necessary.
You’ll have the following responsibilities
* Responsible for a small number of high value, and high risk customers
* Building and maintaining CXO level relationship
* Management of key internal and external stakeholders
* To be responsible for customer satisfaction within their nominated customers
* To use their in depth knowledge to operate on higher value / more complex product / solutions that span across a number of ICT chapters
* To sell both over the phone and face to face
* Potential responsibility for outbound sales prospecting and opportunities within specific CFU
* Sound understanding of the commercialities available including but not exclusive to financial commercials e.g. leasing, logistics e.g. bonding / serial capture, tender writing, usage of bid processes with manufacturers
* To be responsible for customer satisfaction within their nominated customers
* Building and maintaining CXO level relationship and Management of key internal and external stakeholders
You’ll have the following skills & experience
* Effectively communicate and demonstrate sales excellence behaviours to the internal sales community
* Understanding of the commercialities available including but not exclusive to financial commercials e.g. leasing, logistics (bonding / serial capture), tender writing, usage of bid processes with manufacturers
* To use their in depth knowledge to operate on higher value / more complex product / solutions that span across a number of ICT chapters
* Knowledge of software development; coding or computer licensing
* 2 years relevant experience in the role (industry expert)
* Degree level, or equivalent experience
* Relevant experience in Desk Based selling, and delivering against a multi-channel strategy
* Excellent internal & external stakeholder management
* Track record of delivering against revenue targets
* Track record of identifying broader opportunities and creating, shaping and developing more complex opportunities
* Ability to interact with customers across a broad spectrum of communication channels
* Responsible for delivering against own revenue targets as well as targets in customer satisfaction
