Quality Assurance responsible for developing and executing performance and automation tests. This position plans and executes effective and efficient performance and automation testing to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products and/or data About the role This is an opportunity for you to have a major contributing role to a product that provides a global impact on agriculture. Your role will be to develop both front-end and back-end software solutions working within a wide technology stack. This is a home-based role with some expectation to come into the office two days a month You will be provided with the opportunity to develop your skills participating in key areas of the entire application lifecycle within an AGILE environment. What you will be doing

  • API development using C# .NET Core and Entity Framework Core
  • Development of our front-end user interface with React and Redux
  • Database design work using PostgreSQL
  • Writing unit tests for both the API and front-end application
  • Contributing to all aspects of the AGILE development process
  • Workshop with software engineer peers, business analysts and QA engineers to provide reasonable and accurate estimates to help create a well-groomed backlog
  • Reviewing PRs and collaborating with other engineers in the team from across the globe

Who are we looking for?

  • A proactive individual with a positive attitude and eagerness to build up their knowledge and learn new technologies
  • Proven experience of developing with .NET
  • Experience with a JavaScript framework such as React, Ember or Angular
  • A good communicator
  • Attention to detail. Someone who can write high quality and well-tested code

What skills and experience we would like but are not required for this role

  • Exposure to source control practices within GitLab or similar
  • Some exposure to DevOps in AWS
  • SQL/PostgreSQL and database design knowledge
  • Knowledge of AGILE software development methodologies

Required qualifications

  • 3+ years of Software Engineering Experience
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
