An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sales Manager to join up with a market leading organisation working in a variety of industry sectors from marine science to defence.

As a Senior Sales Manager you will be responsible for day-to-day sales activities including the management required to achieve targeted business revenue and growth. As you grow into the role you the focus will shift to maintaining and support existing key customer accounts and identifying new opportunities to promote their products and solutions; guaranteeing that sales processes maximises customer satisfaction and helps establish themselves as the supplier and partner of choice.

Responsibilities as a Senior Sales Manager:

Finding, developing, and closing both new and existing sales opportunities
Retaining and maintaining existing key customer accounts as well as identifying and developing new opportunities wherever possible
Creating sales strategies to introduce new and existing products into a range of different market areas
Defining and developing new market opportunities to support the company’s long-term growth
Pursuing regular product training and maintaining knowledge of the global marine and water quality industries & sectors
Perform product presentations and live training sessions with potential clients and customers showcasing the clients range of products
Collate and communicate market information to advise and impact Sales, Business Development, Marketing and Engineering efforts across the business
Build and maintain important commercial relationships to help identify new business opportunities
Partake in digital and physical conferences and exhibitions as a representative of the company, presenting products and services. This may involve international travel as required.Skills, Knowledge and Experience required as a Senior Sales Manager:

Knowledge of the marine, environmental or water quality industry is highly desirable, however someone with proven sales ability from a relatable sector (Engineering or Manufacturing) full training can be provided
An understanding of the underwater technology sector: market forces & drivers, how customers work as well as processes and priorities etc is desirable
Overall business and commercial acumen
Experience communicating with a multi-national customer database with varying levels of at seniority.
Finding, negotiating and closing sales leads whilst meeting/exceeding sales targets.
Strong and personable communicator, influencer and networker with new and existing customer bases
Experience of developing and managing sales funnels
Discernible customer orientated attitude and behaviour for self and others.Qualifications

Degree level in a technical or scientific subject (science, engineering, operations, minimum 2.1 or higher) or have demonstrable experience in a similar role
