We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sales & Marketing Director to join our dynamic team. The position will be located at our London office and the chosen candidate will directly report to the CEO. As the Sales & Marketing Director, you will have the opportunity to significantly increase the company’s revenue. By working closely with the CEO and collaborating with department heads across Europe, you will be leading a team of talented professionals. You will act as a leader to the sales, partnership, relationship management and marketing teams, enabling revenue growth and increasing productivity within the commercial and marketing teams by providing effective methodologies, efficient processes, value-added information and insights.

What you’ll be doing:

It is an executive Director position, reporting directly to the company CEO, ensuring productive collaboration with other CJ departments and employees.

The responsibilities include:

  • Research and analyse the global payments market.
    • Sales, upsell and cross-sell activities:
    • Negotiations with clients: oversee negotiations carried out by the department team members, participate in negotiations with key clients;
    • Approve prices within the limits set by the CEO;
    • Provide approval of a tailored/updated client solution;
  • Monitoring, analysis and follow-up;
  • Build a motivated high-performing and well trained sales team; establish performance standards and a comprehensive sales curriculum to upskill current/new team members.
  • Sales and marketing tactics, strategy, policies and procedures, techniques and ploys. drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Sales & Marketing planning and reporting:
    • Regular reporting an updates
    • Communicating targets and quotas to the department team;
    • Presenting plans and achievements to the company management team;
  • Participating in the company budgeting, including with respect to the company revenues.
  • Department management, including:
    • Drafting/updating compensation plans for the department team members;
    • Ensuring that client information, call logs, emails, etc., are being fully and timely entered into the CRM system.
  • Act as a first line of defence with respect to AML, FinCrime and sanction risk- and compliance-related issues
  • Oversee the clients’ debts issue.
  • Marketing function management, including:
    • Supporting rebranding management
    • Oversee updating/rebuilding the CJ web-site;
    • Arrange participation in exhibitions, conferences, other events. Represent CJ at those events.
    • Oversee development of marketing and sales collateral;
  • Responsibilities related to the product development/improvement and approval.
  • Participate in the pricing committee, which sets standard prices for specific products and client categories.

Specifications

  • Established experience and skills in a similar capacity in the banking/fintech/payments space in a director level role
  • Highly strategic and structured thinking: you know how to analyse problems and show business value
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and fully accountable for delivering on time
  • With extensive years of experience working in high-performance sales and marketing environments, you must have been in a start-up or scale-ups within the B2B payments space
  • Solid understanding of risk and compliance requirements.
  • Aptitude in identifying training requirements for the S&M team, conducting a skills gap analysis, setting up clear guidelines and implementing training programmes, ensuring the employees remain proficient and competent in their roles.
  • Excellent project management skills. Highly skilled at managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • An effective leader and communicator; driven by and knowing how to lead people, motivate them, and build highly resilient teams that constantly over-perform and sell value
  • You should have exceptional closing and deal-making experience at C-level
  • An appetite to develop and share new knowledge, entrepreneurial mindset; you own your results and everything in between and creatively problem-solve your way out of issues to drive revenue.
  • Working knowledge of Russian will be advantageous.
  • Can-do attitude to make a positive contribution to the company
  • Able to work from our London office at least 2-3 days per week

Experience

  • Experience building and leading a high-performing team with a strong passion for leadership and talent development
  • Established experience in providing development opportunities and guidance for the sales and marketing teams on work priorities, budgets, and resources
  • Demonstrable ability to plan sales and marketing strategies for company’s products or services to support business growth ambitions. A passion for sales and adding value.
  • Established experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures and guidelines, including setting up SLAs and KPIs; evaluating competence and laying out practices and processes, providing a roadmap for day-to-day operations.
  • Experience in taking proactive measures to assess and bridge Skills Gaps, identifying training needs and requirements, leading on the implementation with the aim of unlocking employees’ potential, driving growth and staying competitive.
  • Experience in securing strategic partnerships and leverage strong relationships with key decision makers within target companies to generate business opportunities.
  • Exceptional analytical, organisational skills, and problem-solving skills. Ambition to grow very quickly
  • Experienced in successfully leveraging CRM platforms to support the delivery of pipeline and prospects
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of managing continual analysis of market trends and the positioning of competitors.
  • Experience of leading on developing communication strategies with the objective of increasing brand awareness amongst the business’s target audience and to help increase market share.
