Job Details:

REED Engineering are delighted to be working closely with a brilliant construction business who are based in the North-East and are seeking to employ an experienced Business Development Manager on a permanent basis.

To be considered in this position you must have either a degree in a construction or engineering related field or have suitable experience within the Electrical construction industry.

As Business Development Manager, some of your key duties will include:

• Research and evaluate potential markets and opportunities for the business.
• Support and execute business development strategies aligned with key business objectives.
• Build and maintain new business relationships with prospective clients and existing customers and partners.
• Manage and mitigate risks associated with potential business opportunities.
• Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and representation of the business in all interactions.
• Attend and participate in events/functions as a company representative.
• Deliver persuasive presentations to potential clients on behalf of the company.
• Preparation of business development progress reports for the directors.
• Visit specific sites to meet with clients and report on performances.
• Signing off pre-qualification’s and attend post tender interviews if required.
• Working closely with the MD to ensure all marketing material is representative of business goals and values.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Construction, Engineering or have suitable experience within the Electrical Construction industry.
• Previous Business Development experience, at a senior level is preferable.
• A strong commercial and technical background.
• Strong knowledge of the UK Construction industry.
