The role of IT Specialist will be completely focused on delivering global connectivity, ensuring that both the employee experience and that of their students is as great as it can be! You ll support their senior IT team in the implementation of new technologies and provide consistency in IT excellence, driving value through agreed SLAs.

Key Responsibilities


a. Providing daily support for the Internal student booking systems and other microsystems used by the Operational business
b. Using programming language skillset to fix bugs or make ad-hoc changes needed in their internal systems
c. Supporting IT project implementation, communication, training and capturing lessons learned to ensure a cycle of continuous improvement
d. Respond to IT requests that aren t within the helpdesk support SLAs
e. Support team end users with IT issues in a responsive and service-focused manner
f. Perform regular audits against IT systems to ensure compliance with information security policies
g. Assist in collecting audit logs and forensic information related to information security requirements
h. Work with 3rd party suppliers to ensure systems are used as prescribed and new features are understood across the business
i. Build relationships with all key business departments, to drive communication and continuous improvement within the IT & Tech ecosystem
j. Continually strive to achieve best practice IT connectivity for residences and offices


a. Define resources and schedules needed for project implementation
b. Maintain and update project status in project management and reporting systems
c. Create strategies for issue management, risk mitigation and contingency planning
d. Act as a conduit between system owners, supporting the API integration across platforms
e. Supporting in new business acquisitions, helping to ensure Data Migration between legacy and new systems is managed effectively
f. Assist in the on-boarding processes, ensuring the teams and students have access to the systems needed
g. Effectively manage stakeholders to ensure requirements are prioritised appropriately and aligned to business strategy and target operating model
h. Identify, document and propose improvements to ways of working which will promote efficiency across the business
i. Maintain and update project status in project management and reporting systems
j. Work with other teams to effectively manage interfaces between, projects and managed work across various systems.

Experience and Knowledge


Formal qualification in computing or mathematics
Worked with SQL and stored procedures
Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Active Directory, Virtual Machines, Automation Accounts, Function Apps, Azure SQL Databases)
SSL certificate setup, PowerShell scripting, ASP.Net Core, JavaScript
Knowledge of working with APIs
Demonstrated working knowledge of hardware and networking basics
Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot and support Windows clients and servers
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
High level of analytical thinking to solve problems with an understanding of technology
Ability to multi-task and manage your own time
Ability to work independently


a. Experience of the student accommodation industry would be a huge advantage
b. Additional languages other than English
c. Experience of collaboration with multiple remote teams
