We are looking for an experienced IT engineer who can take ownership of projects and has a strong eye for detail. This role would be a great fit for someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and be proactive in looking for ways to improve how we work and the service we provide.

Working as an IT Engineer at Gearset, you’ll:
Support our current systems including Google Workspace and Jamf
Get involved in various ongoing projects which may include implementing robust endpoint management across various OSes, and centralised SSO
Assist with asset management and warranty tracking across our IT estate
Engage in internal support, including helping new people get set up and providing world class support to our existing people
Help with procurement and inventory of hardware
Be part of the friendly face of support to all our people
At Gearset we’re in a period of rapid growth and as such the scope and scale of our support will develop allowing for exciting opportunities within our growing department

What we are looking for
Demonstrable experience as part of an IT team
Are meticulously organised and take pride in your work
Ability to take ownership of projects and are able to work both collaboratively and independently
Have impeccable customer service skills and experience building strong internal relationships
Have an analytical approach to troubleshooting and solving problems
Have experience working in an environment with minimal physical infrastructure and primarily utilising cloud services
Have experience in hardware and software
Have experience in repairs and installations of AV and network cabling
Are proactive and actively seek to improve upon service standards
Are proficient in Windows, MacOS and Chrome operating systems

Nice to haves
Have supported teams that maintain ISO 27001 accreditation
Linux experience
Networking knowledge
CompTIA Security+
Google or Apple certifications

Salary, benefits and hours
Salary is between £28,000 and £36,000 depending on experience
This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday; based from our Cambridge office, but with the opportunity of flexible home working 2-3 days per week
