My client is an international law firm but the Innovation Manager could be from any sector with demonstrable experience of being an Innovation Thought Leader.
The ideal Innovation Manager will have:
3-5 years’ experience of working within the innovation space, either in consultancy or client side environments
Strong analytical and strategic evaluation skills – with proven ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative research to produce meaningful insights
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to build strong business cases for innovative solutions
Demonstrable experience of the application of known, relevant innovation methodologies, such as “Design Thinking”
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to “story tell” complex topics
Strong innovation workshop design and facilitation skills – with the ability to engage with people at all levels
The Innovation Manager will be responsible for:
Work with the Head of Business Improvement, senior leadership and Business Improvement colleagues to develop and deliver an innovation strategy that drives localised engagement in innovation across the firm
Identify, and qualify, emerging breakthrough innovation opportunities through horizon-scanning, competitor analysis and targeted research
Work with localised steering groups to develop and curate the firm s collective innovation ideas pipeline
Lead multi-disciplinary teams across the firm to develop innovative solutions in anticipation of future challenges and / or in response to existing issues
Identify, and leverage, opportunities to partner with clients, and external organisations, in support of the firm s innovation agenda – such as “innovation incubators”
Develop internal innovation capability and awareness across the firm to innovate, using proven methodologies such as “Design Thinking”
