Summary
£60,500 – £88,000 This isn’t an ordinary job. This an extraordinary experience.
It’s an exciting time to join the Information Security team here at Lidl GB, with a consultative approach and a variety of exciting change projects on the horizon, we support the business as Subject Matter Experts whilst driving the outcome of secure solutions through assessing risk and building pragmatic solutions to mitigate those risks.
You will play a key role in interacting with the business on a variety of workstreams, within some fantastic transformation projects and will need to have sound security technical skills, combined with an ability to convey to non-technical internal customers and key decision makers
We have moved to a hybrid working model with a minimum 2 days in the office per week for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. We feel it is important that, where possible, we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible and trust our teams to determine the right environments that work most effectively for them.
What you’ll do
- Act as a primary point of contact for the Information Security department and maintain regular communication on compliance, risks, challenges and areas of development.
- Engage with departments within the company and relevant service providers / suppliers and audit, assess, guide and manage information security related risks.
- Proactively investigate new threats, vulnerabilities to the business and propose solutions to address them.
- Carry out periodic internal IT audit reviews of systems and processes and manage risk through threat awareness.
- Utilise the Security Management tools within the portfolio to participate in continuous security posture and vulnerability management.
- Take an active involvement in security incident management and resolution
- Collect, analyse and report Key Performance Indicators on security and compliance and continually develop effective KPIs.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of operational processes, technical infrastructure and all components / platforms in use for the relevant specialist areas.
- Relate and link system architecture to core departmental processes and functions
- Identify and recommend which platform options and technical elements are suitable to meet business requirements.
- Maintain a strong awareness of change and release management.
- Ensures that scheduled changes are clearly documented in advance and impacted parts of the business are notified.
What you’ll need
- Proven experience working in an information security role implementing controls across a range of technologies e.g., Security Architect / Security Project Lead
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in a Cyber security field.
- Strong understanding skills to ensure internal stakeholder needs are met
- Experience in both traditional and cloud technologies and state of art security solutions.
- Information security risk management processes and best practice
- Disciplined and organised mind-set with a good attention to the detail
- Ability to negotiate and reach required outcomes
- Excellent time management skills including the ability to manage a demanding and variable workload with tight deadlines
- A fantastic team player with a strong work ethic
- Ability to translate topics between technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to understand, analyse and interpret technical architecture and Penetration reports
- CISM, CEH equivalent foundational security qualifications or experience (Desirable)
