The legacy companies chuck parcels over your fence, make you wait in all day, or give you tracking that feels like it was built in the 90s (probably because it was). It’s a terrible experience for consumers and merchants alike.

Sales at Packfleet is all about spreading the word to ecommerce merchants across the UK, big and small. We focus mainly on outbound sales to larger retailers who need their deliveries to be levelled up, as well as some work with inbound merchants who are referred by existing customers.

We’re searching for a Head of Sales with big ambitions to take our early team of 2-3 salespeople and build an impactful, effective and fun sales machine that takes the Packfleet message across London, the UK and then the world!

What you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Setting the direction and vision for Sales at Packfleet, both internally for the team and externally with customers
  • Managing and coaching our Sales team of 2-3, ensuring they’re set up for success and performing at the highest levels, then hiring, building and growing the team
  • Working closely with our founders and leadership team to ensure Sales is pulling the company forward in the right direction
  • Taking an analytical, data based approach to the sales process and funnel
  • Managing and setting sales targets and processes to find the perfect balance of growth and profitability
  • Setting our commercial strategy on the types of customers we work with and developing new revenue opportunities
  • Cultivating strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product, and finance teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.

This is a general guide, but we’re a startup so you could get involved in all kinds of projects

Logistics (pun intended )

This is a hybrid role. Our office/depot is based in Bermondsey, London where we aim to spend at least 2 days/week together. Being in the office/warehouse is great for keeping us close to the day to day physical operations, so we get to see on a granular level how Packfleet operates.

  • You have 5+ years of experience in sales/commercial/revenue in a high growth startup environment where you’ve proven your potential.
  • You’re able to handle uncertainty – we’re a startup and things change fast, so you should be comfortable that what works today might not work the next.
  • You’re great at thinking commercially, optimising for the business and not just sales targets.
  • You have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

We’re open to a broader Head of Commercial/CCO, candidates as part of this search, but will still expect you to be able to dive into the detail at any point!

  • A competitive internally-transparent salary and stock options in Packfleet, with the choice to trade-off salary for additional stock options on signing. The range for this role, based on level/seniority and salary trade-off, is £90,000 – £110,000 plus a performance bonus, alongside meaningful equity.
