Join a family run, packaging company, established over 40 years ago. They supply excellent quality plain and printed flexible packaging at competitive prices. They pride themselves on close partnerships with major manufacturers in the UK, Europe, and the Far East, offering next-day delivery and are one of the UK’s largest distributors of flexible packaging for the wholesale and packaging merchant market.

The Role:

They are seeking an exceptional Head of Sales who will look to progress to the role of Sales Director within months. You will be responsible for leading and developing the sales team, driving revenue growth, and fostering strong relationships with valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the ales Director to implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • Manage and mentor a team of talented sales professionals, providing coaching and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your extensive industry knowledge and network.
  • Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective campaigns.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business as a member of the senior management team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the packaging or distribution industry
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the packaging market and customer needs.
