Job Description

Reporting into the Marketing Director of UK and Ireland and working closely with the Director of Global Digital Marketing. The Head of Digital Marketing will be responsible for developing the digital marketing strategy and plan for Wavin UK & Ireland and ensuring its successful execution, whilst also contributing to the overall digital direction and progression of the Wavin Group.

The successful Head of Digital Marketing:

  • Will lead and develop a team of 5 digital marketing professionals. Helping coach and mentor the team through personal development plans.
  • Collaborate, contribute, and lead digital marketing initiatives and projects that will benefit the wider Wavin global organisation.
  • Drive the Digital Marketing performance measurement.
  • Oversee PPC and SEO strategies, marketing CRM development , All digital channels and selling tools; websites, social media, digital tools, E-learning platforms.
  • Work seamlessly with the Senior Marketing Communications Manager to ensure full campaign integration from traditional media onto digital channels and digital support to merchant customers as required.
  • Undertake research, insight, and analysis to achieve a full understanding of customers and their needs to inform strategy development.
  • Stay up to date on best practices and new innovations in digital marketing
  • Manage the Digital Marketing budget (£2.5m)

The Successful Applicant

Requirements for the successful Head of Digital Marketing:

  • A good overall knowledge of digital marketing disciplines including:

SEO and PPC strategies using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads
Social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter & Instagram)
Website CMS platforms (Sitecore, Hubspot, Content Stack)
Emails and Email Automation (Hubspot)
Analytics using tools such as Google Analytics and BrightEdge

  • Experience at having led and managed digital marketing teams covering all digital marketing functions.
  • Experience of marketing complex technical products, and messaging to a broad range of audiences from installers to specifiers is desirable.
  • Good commercial acumen and proven track record of driving sales opportunities through digital activities.
  • Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news, data and research quickly – and distil the most important and relevant information.
  • Highly creative with expertise in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage and convert.
  • Ability to effectively drive people, process, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Marketing / Digital Marketing or another relevant specialism. Additional qualifications in Digital Marketing or specific Digital Marketing Channels is desirable.
  • Personable and approachable, with an enthusiastic and motivational nature and an overall passion for excellence.
  • Reliable, flexible, and co-operative approach.
