We have an exciting opportunity for a bright, proactive customer focussed Field Service Engineer to fit into the existing team to provide effective 1st line on site fault resolution and service requests to our predominantly emergency service customer base within various region in the UK. We work for the emergency services and almost anyone with the need for secure communications such as Fire, Police, Ambulance, Ministry of Justice, British transport Police, Highways England, Civil nuclear and Urenco UK. This is a home-based role.
Purpose of the role
The primary focus of the role is to provide an effective response to requests for service, Incident and Problem management activities. The activities will be primarily based on customer sites in the North West and North Wales area.
Who we are looking for:
Someone with previous Field Service experience so they understand the role would be ideal but not essential.
We are looking for an individual who is:
Willing to drive as this makes up a large amount of time within the role
Able to approach any situation with a logical methodical manner
IT literate with an IT background for Windows in various forms:
Desktop – Windows 10 and 7
Server – 2016, 2019
SQL (not essential but would be great)
Antivirus – Symantec experience
Networking – Cisco literate or qualified (not essential but would be great)
Please note that not all roles will require shift work or on call – it depends on location.
If you are required to work a shift pattern and this comes with a 20% shift allowance on top of the annual salary.
If you are required to be on call this will be worked around the shift pattern which is approximately 1 day in 9 with the 3rd shift pattern being 2 in 9. This repeats every 3 shifts (1 in 9 followed by 1 in 9 followed by 2 in 9)
Driving license is a must.
