Field Service Engineer
We’re pleased to be working with this leading Cloud & Telecoms service provider, who is looking for three Field Service Engineers.
We need people based within 45 minutes of one of the following locations: –
London
Bournemouth
Bristol
The role obviously involves plenty of travel to client sites, data centres, telephone exchanges etc (van provided of course). There will also be the odd night away. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced Field Engineer to join a really well established company, or for someone with some relevant field engineering experience (e.g. as an apprentice) to really develop and broaden their skills.
Field Service Engineer – responsibilities
- On-site cabling and hardware installation and testing
- Client site surveys for wifi, 4g, cabling & hardware projects
- Performing pre-cable and pre-deploy duties for early-stage projects
- Investigation & troubleshooting of circuit & hardware errors & issues
- Participate in rota for out-of-hours migration activity, faults & upgrades
- Performing hardware & cabling upgrades
- Using ticketing system to plan daily workload
- Work to internal and external Service Level Agreements
Field Service Engineer – requirements
- High levels of organisation and self-motivation
- Good proficiency with tools – e.g. cabling tools: cutters, crimps etc
- Able to work at height (small/medium step ladders)
- Commitment to high quality customer service
- Flexible in terms of travel and occasional stays away
