End User Computing (EUC) Engineer – £385 Per Day – 6 Month Contract – Hybrid London / ReigateOverview:An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global financial services company for and experienced EUC Engineer providing support and technical project implementation. This position sits within an experienced team of Infrastructure Engineers and SMEs who are skilled in all aspects of IT.Technical Environment:

• AWS Cloud heavily leveraging EC2 and WorkSpace services
• A core of Microsoft, Red Hat, and VMware technologies across both the desktop and server estate
• Enterprise hardware from vendors from Dell, Apple, and Cisco
• A wide suite of Information Security tooling from a number of best-in-class vendors

Role & Responsibilities:

• Deploy, maintain, and support any IT systems and applications used within the organisation, with a focus on the End-User technologies. This includes, but not limited to; Active Directory, Group Policy, User profiles, VMware Mobile Device Management, SCCM, WDS, Remote Desktop Services, FortiClient EMS, and Jira Service Desk
• Deliver project work to upgrade and improve upon existing infrastructure
• Respond to tickets and manage allocations of project tasks
• Ensure systems are kept safe and secure by embedding vulnerability management best practises
• Proactively monitor systems, embed policy compliance across the end-user estate, highlight trends and proposing preventative measures
• Be available outside of business hours on an ad-hoc basis to perform system changes, upgrades, and maintenance

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Proven record of 3rd line technical support experience
• Proven track record of technical system implementation, both from an Infrastructure and Application perspective
• Excellent general experience with Microsoft technologies including: Windows 10 / 11 desktop OS deployment experience. Capturing, creating, and deploying OS images using SCCM or Windows Deployment Services (WDS). Windows Server OS implementation experience across multiple platform roles, including Active Directory, Group Policy management, Remote Desktop Services. WSUS update patch management.
• Strong scripting ability in the likes of PowerShell or similar languages
• Strong experience with Mobile Device Management services, ideally VMware Workspace ONE and Apple Business Manager
• Experience of working within an AWS Cloud environment, particularly managing EC2 instances and AWS Workspaces (VDI)
• Good experience of working with a Remote Desktop Services environment
• General knowledge of networking and technologies to aid in diagnostics, such as concepts of VPNs, Firewalls, IP routing, and Wireless configurations

Contract Details:

• £385 per day
• Inside IR35 (Via Umbrella)
• Location: Reigate OR London, hybrid 2X per week
• 6 month contract
