Location: Canary Wharf
Salary: £33,119 – 37,209 per annum

If you are a creative and innovative individual, with excellent design skills and can understand how engaging content is key in delivering important messages, this is an exciting opportunity for you to help the CMA continue to evolve and develop its creative communications, products and presence.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the UK’s world-leading body, established to make sure competition works in people’s favour and businesses treat their customers fairly. The Digital and Campaigns Team, which you will be part of, uses digital channels to deliver content that explains the vast array of the CMA’s work in clear and engaging ways. We focus on our audiences and create and manage content across social media and GOV.UK, the internationally respected UK government website.
As Digital Content Designer, you will be involved in designing and developing this engaging content for use across all of the CMA’s digital channels. This will include work on graphics, reports, and videos, as well as designing our annual report. You will also help to ensure the ongoing protection of our brand, owning the CMA’s brand guidelines and continuing to develop our approach to design work. This will also involve being the first point of contact for design and branding queries, advising colleagues at all levels within the organisation on how to apply them.
If you offer proven experience in a design role, creating and designing engaging and varied digital content and would like to join a busy, growing and collaborative team, we would love to hear from you.
The CMA prides itself on being a great place to work and strives to ensure that staff have the opportunity to grow and expand their skills portfolio. As well as being a hugely rewarding, diverse and stimulating place to work, you will have an opportunity to work for the public good whilst stretching and developing yourself in doing so.
We offer generous benefits, including an excellent pension scheme, including 25 days leave (increasing to 30 over five years), and generous maternity/paternity leave provision. You can also take advantage of interest-free season ticket loans, a cycle to work scheme, our employee well-being programme and favourable consideration of flexible working.

From October 2021 onwards, the CMA, like many other organisations, will move to a hybrid working model with a mix of office and home working. We believe this supports us to deliver our best work while allowing the flexibility to maintain balanced and healthy lives. Our staff work at least 50% of their time from their office location.
The CMA are an accredited Disability Confident Employer, and we are an equal opportunities employer, welcoming suitably qualified applicants from all backgrounds.
We recruit by merit on the basis of fair and open competition, as outlined in the Civil Service Commission’s recruitment principles.
