Our client in the Wednesbury area is looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join their vibrant team due to continued business growth.

Benefits:

  • Salary – 27,000 to 35,000 per annum

  • Hours of work – Monday to Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm (37.5hrs per week)

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and monitor sales forecasts by customer and product, bridging sales and purchasing.
  • Identify discrepancies between actual and planned demand, adjusting forecasts and supply chain plans to optimise inventory.
  • Plan inventory levels and initiate purchase orders with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
  • Collaborate with logistics, suppliers, and shipping agents to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders.
  • Aid warehouse and sales teams in achieving 100% order fulfilment while minimising excess inventory.
  • Identify surplus inventory and collaborate with sales to develop sales plans.
  • Notify sales, procurement, and inventory teams of potential stock shortages and excess inventory.
  • Manage regular communication with stock control and visit the warehouse as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of Supply and Demand experience, including forecasting and supplier scheduling.
  • (Essential) Experience working within the FMCG sector.
  • Familiarity with sales and operations planning.
  • Proficient in MS packages with clear communication skills.
  • Excel expertise, including pivot tables, VLookup & Macro’s.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
