About the role:
Do you want to feel like you are making a difference to a business? We are looking to add more amazing people to our team and recruiting for data analysts who are passionate about using data insights to improve business operations and services to customers.
We have a fantastic new job opportunity to work as part of a data integrity function monitoring the accuracy of meter and property data, developing reports, validation rules and controls to enhance data accuracy and business performance. The data integrity function is also responsible for publication of an annual report assessing our controls and progress in enhancing the data environment ultimately to benefit services to customers.
What you will be doing:
You will be investigating data issues and their operational root causes and designing and implementing a range of robotic or data flows solutions to correct data issues. Work will also be required to develop data integrity dashboards and ensure the data flows, data table and reporting environments supporting all reporting requirements are efficient and effective.
You will be working with operational colleagues to identify opportunity to enhance data outcomes on first time registration of properties and meter and acting as a subject matter expert on key data and data flow issues to ensure we provide the service our customers expect.
The role will suit candidates who have an interest in using data insights to drive operational business improvements and are comfortable working with both data and operational processes owners to bring about change. There are opportunities to develop your skills and expertise through a range of practical projects and other training.
What skills are we looking for?
Assessing analysis requests (scoping a strategy, setting objectives & outputs, defining stakeholders, defining analytical requirements)
Drawing conclusions & generating insight from analysis
Influencing stakeholders and interpersonal skills
Business and process analysis experience
Ability to manipulate and analyse data utilising SQL skills (advanced skills desirable but not essential)
Advanced excel skills (including pivot tables and Vlookup s)
Data analytics and visualisation techniques
Power BI report creationWe are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, however essential skills are advanced Excel and SQL, but most importantly that you have a track record of helping businesses to improve and working effectively with different teams across the business.
