The Data Analyst Role
Here at CCH, our commitment and investment to support business growth continues and we have an exciting opportunity to join our Business Intelligence department as a Data Analyst, supporting an ambitious data strategy, bringing in a step change in data capabilities as a key enabler for a large business wide transformation programme.
Supporting multiple diverse business operations across the UK, the role will require a dynamic analyst with commercial acumen driven to continually improve the quality and value of data and reporting within the business with involvement in the full lifecycle; initially working with the end users to understand their current reporting and their perceived needs to create report specifications and translating these needs into data cubes and reporting solutions that offer significant commercial insight and advantage.
Data Analyst Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with the Data reporting Manager to design and implement the BI strategy including running a range of MI/BI and reporting initiatives, running the BAU function, driving change through development of new reporting solutions, and answering all ad-hoc requests, as well as;
Manage and develop ETL processes from various disparate data sources
Guide decisions with multiple stakeholders alongside a BA to generate clear specifications
Infuse data culture in the organisation (data events, data communication, data training)
Ability to story tell and enthuse audiences on becoming a data first organisation
Responsible for validation of outputs
Data Analyst Skills & Experience
We re looking for someone with experience and a keen understanding of the importance of data, who is tenacious and able to drive impactful solutions. The skills and experience we are looking for:
A team-player, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, high performance environment with a track record of delivering to tight deadlines
Proven commercial Business Intelligence reporting experience
Provide highly-effective subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex data findings into easily consumable stories that drive action
A track record of translating business requirements into analytical tasks and initiatives to deliver comprehensive data analysis in complex analytical projects with the ability to communicate results in a clear and concise way
An understanding of the private healthcare sector would be desirable
Proficient in MSSQL, Alteryx, Tableau/ Power BI.
Experienced in the design, development and deployment of MI, BI and reporting solutions
An understanding of project management methodologies, business analysis and process improvement would be desirable
