Job Details:

CAD Draughtsperson / Designer, Rugby

3D modelling in Inventor of proprietary process equipment and preparation of detailed technical

drawing and standards for these

Creation of 3D modelsand technical drawings, such as layouts and detailed drawings of process

equipment based around technology including tubesheets, process vessels & tanks, pumps and other

related process equipment

Creation of 3D models of process packages and modules including but not limited to process

equipment, pipework, structural steel, pipe supports, instrumentation, cabling, control panels and

creation of detailed technical drawings based on these

Generation in Inventor and occasionally AutoCAD of Piping Isometrics

Preparation in AutoCAD of Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) to company/client standards

based on discipline engineer outline/preliminary sketches

Preparation in AutoCAD of Electrical/Instrument Line/Wiring Diagrams to company/client


based on discipline engineer outline/preliminary sketches

Preparation and implementation of Drawing Standards in AutoCAD and Inventor, including

creation, modification and maintenance of dynamic AutoCAD blocks

Technical Knowledge and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience of working in Oil & Gas, Refining and/or Petrochemicals or a related


A minimum of 3 years experience using Autodesk products including Inventor, AutoCAD,

Navisworks Manage and Design Review

A thorough working knowledge of Inventor including as a minimum Tube and Pipe, FrameGeneration

and Tolerance Analysis.

A working knowledge of AutoCad including working in AutoCAD s 3D environment and the


of static and dynamic blocks

Good written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams

For the right candidate, the role can be considered as Full or Part Time (minimum 3 days per week), permanent or contract and either home based or at our Rugby Office.

Candidates shall have a valid Work Visa/Work Permit for working in the UK.


£30,000 per annum – £40,000 per annum subject to experience.

Flexible to full time or part time hours
