My client is one of the worlds leading logistics providers especially when it comes to road freight in Europe – covering nations with its own fleet equipped with the most modern tech to ensure that top quality and customer service is delivered. In the game for over 20years they are well established providing also Air and Ocean Freight to customers around the world.
Due to Recent expansion they are looking for a Business Development Manager within their ever expanding road Logistics Business across the North of England.
The Key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager are as follows;
Achieve your set yearly target of profit for both new and existing customers – Ensuring profit margins average at 20% or above.
Contacting companies and creating new customers by finding out what their transport requirements and needs are.
Liase with Internal and External teams.
Providing freight quotations with the use of in-house system.
Produce end of day and weekly reports, showing data on No. Quotes, follow ups and conversions.
Managing your pipeline and organising your accounts.
Booking meetings with existing and new customers/clients.
Working on a range of projects throughout the year relating to new services we can offer.
Provide a high level of internal and external customer care
Maintain business and maximise opportunities with accounts that become “House Accounts” after 12 months tradingProfile
The ideal Business Development Manager will have the following key skills and attributes;
Experience in Road Freight – Understanding products. (Required)
Great problem solving skills
Organisation and Time Management skills
Experience in gathering and interpreting business information and providing tailored solutions to needs
Excellent communication skills internally and externally
Sales Experience within Freight Forwarding.
Full Drivers license with flexibility to travel nationallyJob Offer
