This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Business Development (BD) professional to flourish within a high-profile position at Synexa Life Sciences. The successful candidate will be an integral member of a high performing, cross-functional sales team and will be responsible for driving both new client acquisition and the expansion of existing customer base in the UK and Nordics territory.

Candidates should possess a current, in-depth knowledge of the European Pharma / Biotech market and demonstrate a high level of connectivity among decision makers and influencers. The candidate should also be experienced in drug development with a successful track record of selling B2B services that preferably include clinical biomarker analysis, clinical bioanalysis and translational science solutions across the biotech and pharma sectors.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset in how they design and execute their BD strategy whilst demonstrating the core values of Synexa as a dedicated provider of high-quality science to improve human health. This is a perfect opportunity for BD’s who are both deeply passionate about science and hungry to succeed to be an important contributor to Synexa’s high growth ambitions.


  • Target customers in UK and Nordics selling on Synexa Scientific Expertise
  • Accountable for building diverse pipeline of opportunities, achieving target and maximizing profitability of business won.
  • Travel for face-to-face client meetings, conferences, and company off sites.
  • Accountable for the entire business development process from lead generation to award. Close working relationships with the commercial team to align on strategy and support both individual and team objectives.
  • Development and execution of a UK and Nordic focused territory strategy, identifying quick wins and long-term high value prospects.
  • Accountable for CRM data entry, opportunity progression, and data hygiene
  • An ability to understand Synexa’s scientific capabilities, differentiators and clearly articulate to clients at all levels.
  • Understand the drug development process, market, and competitive landscape to develop tactics to exploit this to your advantage.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including Business Operations, Scientific Strategies and Study Management to identify new opportunities and monitor project progression.


  • BSc Life Sciences or At least 5yrs B2B sales experience in CRO.
  • MSc, PhD Life Sciences, Bioanalytical and biomarker sales experience preferred, 10 years B2B sales experience would be advantageous.
