About the role:

The Property Design Services (PDS) section of Powys County Council provides a property-related professional consultancy service for the Council, including Architectural, Building Surveying, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and Project Management disciplines.

PDS is recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a wide range of capital-building projects. These include the Council’s Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme, which is the authority’s major capital investment programme, delivering £200m worth of improvements to the schools’ estate across Powys.

About you:

This is a great opportunity for someone who is just starting out within project management and has some prior experience in the field or a background in the construction industry.

What you will do:

The main purpose of the post is to support the Senior Project Manager and Project Management Team who act in a client-facing Project Management role, with responsibility to deliver specific projects from inception to completion.
