Advice Line AdministratorLocation: Hybrid/ Home working to be discussed after completing probation period.Hours of work 9:00-17:30Reporting to: Technical Director

Purpose of the role

To help ensure that the Advice Line service runs smoothly and within KPI targets. To ensure that clients are supported and gain value from the Advice Line and sampling service. To support the advice line & sampling team with administration tasks.

Key duties, responsibilities and objectives

To support the Advice Line ticketing service, responding to queries or allocating more technical queries to the relevant Food Alert personnel as relevant. To chase up on accident and incident reports that have already been triaged. This will involve liaising with clients, ensuring accurate report completion and action close out and escalating any serious cases. Covering the advice line phone line when required. Transcribing larger client’s accident reports onto our in-house software for the wider team to investigate. Assist the sampling team with raising client work instructions once an order has been placed. Using our third-party Laboratory’s system to extract testing results to ensure they are ready for our technical team to provide commentary on. Manage various inboxes and escalating anything that may need urgent attention. Chasing sampling leads once quotes have been provided. Collaborate with other members of the advice line team to develop and share best practices. Package up sampling kits for auditors/ clients and arrange for them to be sent by a courier service (DHL, UPS, Royal Mail etc). To respond to specific instructions/requests from the Advice Line/ technical team.

Proficient in the use of MS Office applications Health & safety related qualifications are beneficial
