Our client is looking to recruit an Account Manager to work within the transport and logistics industry.

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for

Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts

Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships

Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximise profit

Our client is looking to recruit an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with their customers. The Account Manager s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers and develop new business from existing clients. In this role, you will work as part of a strong team to improve the entire customer experience.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager

Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits

Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors

Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

Develop new business with existing clients

Prepare reports on account status

Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role

Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, l

Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)

Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs

Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail

Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills


Salary £25,000 plus commission paid on a monthly basis – OTE of £33,000 in your first year (basic salary DOE)

20 days plus bank holidays and full xmas shutdown

Free parking

Hours of work are 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday
