Senior Account Manager in IT, full time permanent in York. £35,000 to £40,000 plus attractive bonus structure

They work with some of the biggest companies in the technology sector meaning that they are authorised resellers for some of the latest software and hardware devices. SBL work with Dell EMC, Trend Micro, IBM and Microsoft to name a few. Your new role
SBL are now looking to appoint a Senior Account Manager in to their established team in York who will be able to handle direct account management of customer and partner accounts whilst driving new business on a national platform.

We are looking for a person who can identify and develop prospect clients in to customers and deliver on key personal and business objectives. You will be required to identify new business opportunities within the designated business streams and maintain regular contact with a range of customer and prospect organisations. Some travel may be required as part of the role.

Your main duties will include the achievement of sales targets as agreed with the Group Sales Manager and presenting monthly business progress reports to the Group Sales Manager and/or CEO. You will also be able to provide detailed business and customer reports where required.

The key aspect of the role will be to develop and strengthen relationships with customers, partners and prospects through telephone and email communication with some in-person client visits to be conducted. You will be working toward both revenue and gross margin targets and be able to progress the development of the SBL services and business growth in line with agreed targets. As a Senior Account Manager you will also be required to proactively seek opportunities for future prospects/ customers through research, networking and business growth.

SBL pride themselves on a solutions based sale, understanding and meeting customers tailored and specific requirements. You will need to understand customers' diverse and individual needs and apply the appropriate product to meet those needs.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have relevant B2B Account Management or Business Development experience with demonstrable key successes in your field. You will have a track record of creativity, innovation and delivery against defined sales targets.

You will have a proven track record in the industry. An understanding of Information Security, Software/ Hardware, Secure Mobile Solutions, Managed Services, Cyber Security, AI, Cloud Services, Training or Consultancy will be required. SBL supply to a range of customers of both private and public sector, SME and Corporate. Successful applications should have proven experience of selling in to one of these markets.
