How To Answer: Why Do You Want This Job?

When you’re applying for a new job, you can expect to be asked many questions during the interview process. One of the most common questions is “Why do you want this job?” It’s a question that might seem simple on the surface, but it can be difficult to answer if you’re not prepared. Here are some tips for answering this question effectively:

  1. Think about your career goals and interests. Are you looking for a job that aligns with your long-term career goals? Is this particular job something that excites you and motivates you? Make sure to mention these things in your answer.
  2. Research the company. Before the interview, make sure to do some research on the company and the position you are applying for. What do you like about the company’s mission, values, or culture? How does this job fit into your overall career path?
  3. Consider the job’s location, salary, and benefits. Is the job located in an area where you want to live? Does the salary and benefits package meet your needs and expectations? These are important considerations and can be included in your answer.
  4. Mention opportunities for growth and advancement. If the job offers opportunities for growth and advancement, be sure to mention this in your answer. It shows that you are looking to build a long-term career with the company.
  5. Tailor your answer to the specific job and company. Your answer should be specific to the job and company you are applying for. Don’t just give a generic answer that could apply to any job.

Why do you want this job? Example answer:

“I am very interested in this job because it is a chance to use my skills and experience to make a difference in an industry that I am passionate about. I was interviewed for a managerial position in a car dealership and faced with the fact that one company treats well when you say that the motivation of money and the other does not, or for example: worked in the auto parts salesman and why I want to work in a car dealership, said money and communication with more interesting people who know about automotive innovations, some treat it well others do not. Tell me what to say in these cases?
