Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation and development of character animations for all projects
  • Work with the Rigging team to provide feedback to improve rigs and character set-ups
  • Oversee the animation of all primary and secondary characters
  • Mentor junior members of the animation team
  • Provide animation assistance for other game assets and backgrounds
  • Translate ideas from concept through to finished animation in collaboration with the design and art teams
  • Ensure all animation work is completed to a high standard and to tight deadlines
  • Help develop and contribute to the animation pipeline and toolset


Key Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with skinning/rigging techniques
  • A good working knowledge of 3D and 4D applications, such as Maya, 3D Studio Max and ZBrush
  • A good understanding of animation deadlines, typical rigging set-ups and key frame character animation
  • At least three years of experience in the animation sector
  • An incredibly strong portfolio and demo reel
  • A good working knowledge of Motion Builder and After Effects
  • A strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • A good knowledge of the games development process would be a definite bonus
  • A good understanding of the animation pipeline
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to moving deadlines
  • Knowledge of game engines like CryEngine would also be a bonus
