Bubble Wrap-Up: Top 5 Digital Design Jobs – December 2015

As you can see from the title of this post, today the focus is on digital design jobs – and we’ve got some major brands for you to choose from.

In this diverse role you’ll cover everything from product visioning, user testing and visual design to interaction design and front-end development. Key responsibilities include creating visually rich yet usable and persuasive designs for mobile, tablet and desktop platforms, contributing to the visual design and front-end development of Sky Bet websites – and working in a collaborative agile environment. The right candidate for this vacancy will have expertise in visual and interaction design and the latest front-end development tools, proven experience in hand-coded HTML5 and CSS3 and proven commercial experience. They’ll also have a passion for all things digital, experience in using CSS pre-processors like SASS or Compass – and experience in large eCommerce high transaction sites.

AdGen LogoNext, full service education marketing agency AdGen are looking for a Designer/Front End Developer to join their team in Coventry. In this role you’ll work in a small team – and your main responsibility will be the production, modification and maintenance of website and web application’s user interfaces – this will include using semantic mark-up language ie. XTML/CSS to turn static Photoshop designs into working browser-based webpages. Other responsibilities include creating typesetting advertisements for print (based on existing templates), providing design ideas for online advertising and evolving existing templates through new design ideas.

SKY2015In third place, Sky are looking for a Digital UX Designer to join their Technology team in Leeds. In this role you’ll work on the main sky.com website which receives over 7 million visits per week – and you’ll have the chance to use cutting edge tools and technologies to create rich user experiences. Key responsibilities include idea/concept generation, executing UX design work that adheres to best practice brand standards and ensuring UX coherence across Sky’s digital estate. The right candidate will have a graduate degree in Interaction Design, Cognitive Science or HCI, experience in  similar large media company or leading digital agency and proven experience in UCD and human interface guidelines. They’ll also have a solid understanding of user-centred design principles – and experience working in an agile delivery environment.

thefixblogNext up, The Fix Creative are looking for a Senior Designer to join an innovative integrated agency in Berkshire. In this role you’ll join a busy design studio – and key responsibilities include meeting with account managers and clients to discuss key objectives, leading creative brainstorming sessions, designing for all forms of media include print, design and moving image – and motivating and mentoring junior members of the team. Sound good? To catch this agency’s eye you’ll need to have extensive working knowledge of core Adobe Creative Suite progams, an indepth understanding of UI and UX, superb rendering and illustration work and an understanding of artwork preparation. You’ll also need to have lots of creative energy, an innovative approach and the confidence to present finalised ideas to account managers and clients.

parityLast but not least, Parity Professionals are looking for a Web Designer to join one of their leading digital clients in Altrincham. Key responsibilities include designing websites and applications for their internal and external clients. The right candidate for this role will have strong experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, a strong knowledge of UX design concepts and experience with HTML5/CSS3. They’ll also have a knowledge of UX modelling/prototyping tools, experience with iterative development processes and a positive customer-focused attitude.
