Bubble Wrap-Up: Top 5 Content Management Jobs – February 2013

I don’t know how it’s happened but it’s Friday all over again! Hurrah! At this hour on a Friday afternoon the precious weekend is within touching distance and Monday morning is a lifetime away (well, not quite, but near enough!). Before you scarper off to hit the town, fill your face with carbs or catch up with the EastEnders/Emmerdale/Coronation Street omnibus (delete as applicable), it’s time to take a look at what’s up for grabs on Bubble this week.

We’ve been getting some great feedback on our alternative Wrap-Ups over the last couple of weeks so we’ve decided to carry on with the theme and shine the spotlight on Online Content Management and Production jobs this week. And we’ve chosen to mix it up today by including a variety of direct brands and niche recruiters in our Wrap-Up.



First up this week, ebookers are searching for a Content and Product Specialist (Landing Page) to join their busy offices in Central London. Playing a leading role in rolling out Merchandising and Search Marketing landing pages across all Points of Sale (using proprietary “Flex2” technology), the successful candidate will be responsible for the prioritisation of pages, planning, execution, tracking and communication. They’ll also act as the main point of contact for Flex2 within ebookers, providing guidance and training as required and they’ll also help to contribute to day to day activities in product development and strategy for all paths of the website. Fancy working for an original pioneer within the sector with a bright and vibrant personality? To stand a chance of bagging this great job you’ll need to have a proven track record in a commercial online environment (retail or travel is preferable) and a good understanding of content management and web page construction. Good problem solving and data manipulation skills are also essential as is as a great eye for detail and amazing communication skills. In terms of desirable skills, second language skills (French or German) and experience in marketing, merchandising or SEO are top of the list.



Next in line, MET Marketing are searching for a Web Content/Email Manager to join one of their leading retail clients in Leeds who are looking to significantly grow their business online over the next 18 months. Working in a busy West Yorkshire office, the successful candidate will help to drive customer onsite satisfaction and conversion. Key tasks include developing and improving the front end website, developing landing pages for promotions, building and optimising emails and developing email content and maximising on and offsite SEO. Sound good? To be considered for this vacancy you’ll need to have a good understanding of web development and experience of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, a clear understanding of the customer online and experience with Google Analytics and a driven, motivated outlook. A background in a retail, mail-order or fashion eCommerce background is also desirable.



Next up, Sanofi are searching for an e-Media Manager to join their team in Guildford, Surrey. Working on a six month contract, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the brand’s internal e-communication channels within the UK and Ireland. Responsible for the content of the in-house intranet and external community and social responsibility platform ‘Sanofi Inspires’ (and associated Twitter and Facebook feeds), you’ll write and publish content for both and you’ll also help to develop coherent e-communication campaigns that support employee engagement and enhance the brand’s reputation within the UK. Last but not least, you’ll also help to publicise and embed a new UK/IE vision and ‘ways of working’ in 2013, supporting a community of online publishers and developing and implementing new e-media approaches. Interested? The right candidate will have a formal IT communications qualification or university degree or relevant experience, a good working knowledge of Drupal or a similar CMS, a flexible attitude, great communication skills and proven interest and experience of social media.



In fourth place on this week’s Wrap-Up, The Little Black Book Agency are searching for a Creative Web Manager to join a well established and cutting edge beauty brand in Cheshire. Working in their Winsford offices, you’ll take responsibility for all web content, merchandising and branding and you’ll oversee the brand’s two eCommerce stores, developing the visual elements of both sites. As part of this role, you’ll oversee the user experience for both sites (making changes where necessary) and optimise both sites for performance, while creating all imaging work (including banners, newsletters, images and promotions). Other key tasks include executing merchandising strategies alongside the Brand Manager and executing the social media strategy, with a particular focus on Pinterest. Sound like your cup of tea? The ideal candidate will have strong graphic design skills (competency with Photoshop is a must) and will be passionate about beauty and products, with a strong design flair and experience in designing for websites and assets. You’ll also need to prove you have a strong interest in fashion and the latest trends, experience working to brand guidelines and the ability to work well under your own initiative.



Last but not least, Freedom Digital are searching for an Online Content Manager to join a leading lifestyle menswear brand in Central London. Working on a temporary basis, the successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and deployment of inspiring and engaging content and imagery across the website. Ensuring the site always stays fresh and relevant to customers, they’ll maintain an evolving programme of content changes and site refreshes and will also be responsible for creating new web pages and site imagery to support marketing campaigns and sponsorship activity. From creating microsites to promote capsule collections and seasonal shop launches to supporting the email and social media strategy across all relevant channels. you’ll do it all in this role and you’ll also use web analytics to monitor the behaviour of visitors to the site and implement content to improve conversion rate. The right candidate for this vacancy will have a proven track record in Content Management (preferably with a retail brand), a good understanding of user interfaces and user journeys and experience using web analytics. Other essential skills include a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, while copywriting experience is also desirable.
