Bubble Wrap-Up: Top 5 Web/Visual Design Jobs

You’re down to the last couple of hours in your working week and you’re ready to get merry, put your Christmas tree up (if you haven’t already) and drink some much-deserved mulled wine. But before you scarper off, it’s time to check out the best new vacancies that have been added to Bubble over the last seven days.

This week we’ve decided to mix things up and bring you a nice little selection of web and visual design vacancies. From User-Experience to digital design, whatever your specialism in the web design sector, you’re sure to find something that tickles your fancy on this week’s Wrap-Up!

 

First up, our friends at Globoforce are on the look-out for a talented User Experience (UX) Designer to join their Dublin offices. The winner of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award three years in a row, Globoforce are an exciting business on an exciting journey and they want the best talent to join them. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing immersive, innovative products which are highly creative visually and have intuitive interactions, consistent user flows and meet business and user objectives. From generating user interaction mock ups, wire frames and user flows to maintaining a widget and pattern library to ensure consistent user experience across applications, you’ll do it all in this role. Interested? To stand a chance of bagging an interview, you’ll be highly passionate about all things UX, have strong visual design skills and an awesome portfolio and ideally have experience of working with user centred and human factor specialists. You’ll also be the kind of person that enjoys solving business and user problems and, most importantly, will be itching for an opportunity where you can showcase your skills and enjoy your working day as much as the team nights out!

 

Fancy becoming the Lead Visual Designer for the UK’s stand out travel and leisure retailer? You might want to apply for our latest lastminute.com vacancy! Working at their London offices, the lucky successful candidate will be responsible for creating visual designs for all products across all devices (tablet, mobile, web) for the lastminute.com sites across Europe and Asia. Working closely with other Visual Designers, UX Architects and their Head of Usability, the right candidate will help to design and create web page layouts and content for new product releases and will also work alongside their Information Architects and Product and Development teams to translate ideas and wireframes into visual mock ups for new site features. Sound like the opportunity you’ve been waiting for? The perfect candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working as a web-based designer for an online travel, retail or FMCG brand and will have a university degree, preferably in a Creative Design discipline. They’ll also have experience in designing across multiple devices and have proven proficiency in programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver and InDesign. Last but not least, they’ll also have an extensive knowledge of things like HTML5 and CSS3 and top-class communication skills.

 

The team at JM Digital are searching for a talented User Experience Designer to join a leading digital agency in Reading. Working with an awesome portfolio of clients, the successful candidate will establish close working relationships with shareholders and will work with them to design services that bring propositions to life and meet commercial requirements. Key tasks include creating wireframes, defining customer journeys, preparing full prototype designs and analysing customer behaviour to demonstrate the value of initiatives and build the business case for further projects. Intrigued? The right candidate for this vacancy will have at least three years of experience in digital design, information architecture and usability methods under their belt, alongside a preferred relevant degree in HCI (Human Computer Interaction), Cognitive Science, Computer Science or Multimedia Design. Other essential attributes include the ability the translate ideas and concepts into workable online propositions that customers will use and value, strong relationship management skills and the ability to present credibly and effectively.

Next, the lovely team at Anglia Ruskin University are searching for a new Manager – Design and Delivery to join the team in Cambridge. One of the biggest forces in higher education in the East of England, the University is fast gaining prominence both nationally and internationally and has ambitious plans for the future. Leading a small team of graphic designers, the successful candidate will design and implement effective communications and campaign material to meet target audience needs and showcase the University. This is a great opportunity to shape the communications, collateral and brand image of a University that plays host to over 30,000 students and 2000 staff every year. Interested? You’ll need to have a degree or graphic design professional qualification, extensive experience and a strong track record in graphic design and the application of design to traditional and online media. You’ll also have experience of leading, managing and developing a team of designers and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

 

Last but by no means least, B&Q are on the hunt for someone to become their brand-spanking new B&Q Digital Designer. Based in Hampshire, the candidate who bags this job will be responsible for delivering solutions to client briefs through sketching, according to UX governance and standards. They’ll also be responsible for managing regular day to day design updates for digital channels of diy.com and Trade-Point.co.uk according to briefs, providing high quality web design solutions for all projects (resulting in excellent feedback) and coordinating and managing outsourced design work with third party design agencies. Sound like your cup of tea? To be in the running you’ll need to be a professionally experienced front end digital designer with a proven track record in the design industry, have agency-side experience and have a good understanding of designing for HTML and CSS development. You’ll also have a degree or equivalent in a Design/Graphics related field and have a good working knowledge of HTML/xHTML, CSS, Flash and Adobe Creative Suite.
