Bubble Wrap-Up: Top 5 Social Media/Editor Jobs

After a week of bad weather and terrible traffic (my normal 20 minute journey to work took me an hour and a half yesterday morning!). I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s glad it’s Friday afternoon! With the weekend fast-approaching (woo hoo!), it’s time to take a look at the best new jobs that have popped up on the Bubble jobs board this week.

Yep, you’ve guessed it, this week it’s all about our exciting new social media vacancies. Now, I know we’ve covered this area before but we think it deserves a bit of extra attention, particularly because the end of the year is nigh and talented candidates are probably starting to think about taking on a new job for 2013.

Before I go into our top five social media job picks, it’s worth pointing out this Wrap-Up only represents a small number of our social media vacancies – visit our social media jobs page for a full run-down of what’s up for grabs right now!

First up, our friends at Diageo are looking for a talented Social Editor to become the “voice” of some of the world’s leading premium alcoholic drinks. Based in West London, the successful candidate will represent the brands’ social channels across Western Europe, creating rich online conversations and seeking out engaging content and themes in order to build a great rapport with consumers in online communities. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram – you’ll work on all those platforms and you’ll also work closely with brand teams to align on strategy and deliver the brand’s personality in the social space. Sound good? To be in the running you’ll have a proven track record of bringing new social media initiatives to market with delivery of high-engagement results and you’ll ideally have a background in PR, Marketing, Media or Journalism. The right candidate will also have creative flair and vision alongside some technical skills and may also have strong language skills in Spanish, Italian or German.

 

 

Next up, Carrot Digital are looking for a Head of Social Media to join an award-winning UK market-leader in a specialist online sector. Located in Surrey, the right candidate will work with a varied and exciting client list and will be responsible for the delivery of multiple social media campaigns in addition to client management and proposal writing. Providing social media insight to the team and clients and taking the lead on consultancy projects, the successful candidate will work across channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and YouTube and will help to grow and shape the team in order to reach their two year goal. To stand a chance of bagging this role you’ll need to have delivered social media campaigns in a previous role, have experience in a client-facing role and have a strong agency background. Experience of managing a team of at least three people and knowledge of PPC, SEO and Analytics are also essential.

 

The team at The Little Black Book Agency are on the look-out for a talented Social Media Manager to join a luxury goods eCommerce company based in Altrincham. Working with several new brands and products each week, the right candidate will work to ensure maximum coverage is achieved through social media marketing and online PR and will work to ensure people are talking about the offers and sales as and when they happen. Taking responsibility for a range of brands, they’ll also be responsible for Google AdWords campaigns, simple SEO and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns. Requirement-wise, the company are looking for someone who has commercial experience of social media marketing (ideally within an eCommerce environment) and has some knowledge or experience of online marketing, especially PPC and SEO. A GAP qualification would also be a distinct advantage!

 

Next up, Aadvark Swift Recruitment are looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager to join a worldwide online, PC, console, handheld and mobile game publisher. Based in West London, the new Social Media Marketing Manager/European Social Media Marketing Specialist will support the European Marketing Manager on all digital campaign execution and implementation. Key tasks include liaising with partner digital agencies, instigating and supporting social activities by maintaining close relationships with European Brand Managers and PRs and executing asset creation and implementation for all territories. Intrigued? To be in with a chance of working for a company whose product portfolio includes some of the best selling video games of all time, you’ll need solid social media marketing experience, experience of working on European social media campaigns and experience of working in entertainment, video games or FMCG sectors, either as part of agency client base or in-house. You’ll also need broad experience of all main channels (ie. online advertising, search, mobile and CRM) and be comfortable analysing data.

 

Last but not least, the nice folks at Green Shoots Recruitment are looking for a Social Media Executive to join an integrated creative communications agency based in Birmingham. From planning and implementing social media campaigns and strategies for clients to time, cost and quality to successfully driving online campaigns through social media, PR and outreach, you’ll do it all in this role and you’ll help to contribute ideas for clients to add value to their business through social media. Working across a varied client base, they’ll also keep on top of the latest social media and digital developments and help to raise the agency’s profile through their own social media activity. Sound good? To be in the running you’ll need to have a proven interest in social media (ideally with a couple of years experience within a similar environment), excellent copywriting skills, analytical capability and a willingness to learn. You’ll also need to be able to work autonomously, have a positive approach and bags of energy and have the ability to inspire and motivate others.
