Bubble Wrap-Up: Top 5 Business Development Jobs

By Amy @BubbleJobs

We think someone somewhere must have pressed the fast-forward button this week because we can’t believe it’s Friday again (not that we’re complaining!). Aside from being the last working day in the week (woo hoo!), Friday also means something else here at Bubble HQ – it means it’s time for the latest Bubble Wrap-Up.

Now, we have a bit of an apology to make this week – we know we’re all about digital jobs but sometimes we get a bit distracted by things like online marketing and web development and forget all about the sales side of things so we’re trying to put things right by placing the spotlight on Business Development Jobs in this week.

This means that if you’re looking for a new Business Development vacancy, this is the blog post for you. Without further ado then, let’s see who’s hiring for new Business Development superstars this week on Bubble.

First up, our friends at Pure360 are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic sales team in Brighton. If you fancy working with big names like Innocent Drinks, Amnesty International and the Financial Times and you’re ambitious, driven and highly pro-active, this could be the vacancy for you! Working in an exciting city centre location, the right candidate will drive sales of the firm’s market leading, online marketing software and will help to receive amazing results and significant ROI for clients. In return for signing up, you’ll receive a subsidised gym membership, 22 days holiday (not including bank holidays) and childcare vouchers. Sound good? To be in the running you’ll need a proven track record of new business sales within the digital space and you’ll have the ability to identify, build and create new opportunities, alongside the ability to build and manage an excellent pipeline of opportunities, forecast accurately and continually hit targets.

Next up, The Little Black Book Agency are searching for a Marketing/Business Development Executive on behalf of one of the top digital marketing agencies in the North. Forget cold calling and direct selling – this is not your typical business development role! Based in Manchester, you’ll help to manage the agency’s social media presence, liaise with trade press and attend network events – in effect, you’ll be the face of the agency. If this sounds like your cup of tea, it’s time to tell you what you need. You’ll need to have agency-side experience (ideally with a digital, PR or design agency) but above all you’ll need to have a real passion for technology and creativity as these are the agency’s key strengths.

In third place this week Experis are recruiting for a talented new Business Development Manager to join a market-leading successful brand based in Surrey. The successful candidate will be responsible for the definition and implementation of programmes and market strategy plans, taking into account national/local customers’ agendas (get them!). They’ll also be responsible for building strong and lasting relationships with key customers in primary care, private healthcare providers and private treatment clinics to implement strategy and drive business and they’ll act as the primary point of contact for key clinical and non-clinical influencers of national UK and IE policies and guidance within the relevant area. Sound like your cup of tea? To be in the running  you’ll need experience of business development/sales into NHS, Primary Care, Clinical Commissioning Groups or SHAs and demonstrable expertise in building effective business relationships.

Fancy a job as a Business Development Manager for a widely respected digital agency in Slough? Recruitment Revolution could have the vacancy for you! They’re searching for a skilled networker and door opener who can think on their feet, pitch to prospective clients, prepare project timescales and prepare budgets – absolutely no cold calling involved (as a long term Google partner they pass leads straight to the agency). The agency in question is a RAR and WireHive top voted agency who has been Quadruple certified by Google and works with top brands like L’Oreal, Eurotunnel and Radisson Edwardian Hotels so there’s no denying this is a great opportunity – can you afford to miss it? To stand a chance of bagging this job you’ll need to be crazy about all things digital, eCommerce and apps and you’ll need to have experience in a similar environment (ideally a digital agency). You’ll also need to be super-organised, confident and motivational – oh, and you’ll get brownie points if you have PR and marketing experience and experience in Digital Project Management.

Finishing things off this week, J&C Associates are searching for a Business Development Manager to join a Mobile Ad-Network in London. Responsible for building relationships with clients and working with them on a daily basis to increase commercial revenues, the right candidate will be responsible for prospecting and engaging agency contacts across all levels to deliver (sell) mobile advertising and sponsorship solutions to them. Key tasks include proactively pitching new ideas to new and existing clients, understanding and communicating analytical information in spreadsheet and chart format and effectively solving problems around client concerns. For this particular role, they’re looking for a great team player who has a minimum of two years of experience in a digital sales environment and has a university education. Other essentials include good interpersonal and communication skills, an in-depth knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and strong attention to detail.
